Every day I get to show up to a space with leaders who unapologetically seek the transformation of systems of injustice while supporting the young people who are often disproportionately impacted by these systems. I am inspired by our teams willingness to bring their entire self to this work and in doing so create the space for the young people to do the same. It’s their vulnerability and stubborn grace that allows them to have the impact that makes CHOOSE 180 what it is.

CHOOSE 180 empowers young people at risk of engagement with the criminal legal system to choose positive change in their own life, avoid court and legal prosecution, and ultimately to realize their full potential. We are actively creating a future where young people are met with restorative practices and necessary support systems in lieu of traditional forms of punishment. Partnering strategically with community as well as institutional leaders like prosecutors and school administration, CHOOSE 180 acts as a catalyst for institutional change on complex social issues such as the school-to-prison-pipeline and the punitive legal system.
