At its core, Intentionalist is about connecting people and building community. From the small businesses whose stories we share, to consumers, companies, and nonprofit organizations who care, we believe that the money we spend is an investment in the world that we want. I am most inspired by the people I've met on our journey to date - small business owners who exemplify grit and grace, people in the community who share how we're making it easier for them to align their values with the money they spend, and corporate leaders who are stepping up to explore how their organizations can do their part to support a more vibrant local economy.

At Intentionalist, we believe that where we spend our money matters. Our online platform connects consumers to small businesses and the diverse people behind them. Through our directory, guides, and events, we make it easy to find local businesses owned by women, people of color, veterans, families, members of the LGBTQ community, and differently abled people. With Intentionalist, everyday decisions about where we eat, drink, and shop become opportunities to Spend Like It Matters and support the small businesses at the heart of our communities.
